Rahul-Jaiswal got the support of the former selector

The Indian team is scheduled to depart for Sri Lanka today, Tuesday, August 4th. Twenty-four hours before departure, Team India openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal spent their time in the nets. According to a Cricbuzz report, both players received support from former selector Jatin Paranjpe. Reports suggest that Mumbai spinners like Tanush Kotian provided Rahul and Jaiswal with practice.

These players will go to Sri Lanka as net bowlers

The two-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka begins on August 15th. Spin bowlers are expected to dominate this series, so Rahul and Jaiswal have faced all types of spin bowlers. Interestingly, Kotian will also travel to Sri Lanka with Team India. Harsh Dubey will also accompany the team on this tour as a net bowler.

This series is part of WTC 2025-27

The Indian team will play a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, with the first match scheduled for August 15-19 in Galle. The second Test will be played in Colombo from August 23-27. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 and is considered very important in this regard.
