New Delhi.  Nationalist leaders associated with Balochistan have announced to celebrate Independence Day on 11th August and have appealed for support from the international community. After this announcement, the issue of Balochistan has once again come to the centre of discussion. Nationalist leaders claim that Balochistan was declared independent on 11th August 1947 and on the same historical basis, this day is celebrated as Independence Day every year. This time too, they have appealed for widespread participation from the Baloch community living across the world.

A message issued by the nationalist leadership called on people to hoist the Balochistan flag in their homes, shops, and public places. It also urged members of the Baloch community living abroad to celebrate the occasion by organizing events in various countries. The leaders stated that the purpose of these events was to demonstrate the solidarity of the Baloch community and to strongly advance their political demands on a global scale.

Baloch leaders criticized Pakistan’s policies, stating that they believe the political and security situation in the region has long impacted development. They alleged that Balochistan’s problems remain unresolved, leading them to continue demanding a separate identity. They appealed to the international community to seriously consider their position for lasting peace and stability in the region.

Regarding the date of August 11th, nationalist organizations maintain that Balochistan’s independence was declared on this day in 1947.
