PS5 Standard Edition Prices
The company had earlier launched the PS5 Standard Edition in India at a price of Rs 54,990. However, now its price has increased by a whopping Rs 15,000. So now customers buying the Standard Edition will have to pay Rs 69,990. The new price of the PS5 has also been updated on Sony’s official ShopAtSC store. PS5 price hike again
This is not the first time that the company has increased the price of PS5. Earlier, the company had increased the price of the PS5 Digital Edition in July last year. The price of this edition, which was launched at a price of Rs 44,990, was increased by a whopping Rs 5,000. Therefore, customers have to pay a whopping Rs 49,990 to buy the PS5 Digital Edition.
The company increased prices globally
Apart from India, the company has increased the prices of many of its products globally. This list included PS5, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal Remote etc. In April last year, the company had increased the price of PS5 in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia and New Zealand. At that time, the company had said that the reason for the price increase was global economic pressures.
The prices of PS5, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal were increased in March last year. This price hike took place in the US, UK and Japan. In April, the price of PS5 hardware was increased in Southeast Asia. This includes Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam etc. At that time, the prices in India were not increased.
