Health Desk. Today’s fast-paced lifestyle, irregular eating habits, and lack of physical activity are leading to the rapid increase in the problem of fatty liver. This condition causes excess fat to accumulate in the liver cells. Symptoms are often invisible at first, but if not addressed early, the problem can become serious. Fortunately, liver health can be improved in the early stages by following a balanced diet, regular exercise, and a healthy lifestyle.
1. Green Leafy Vegetables
Spinach, fenugreek, mustard, and other green leafy vegetables are rich in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. They help control excess body fat and can help reduce liver stress. Including them regularly in your diet is considered beneficial.
2. Oats – Whole Grains
Oats, barley, oatmeal, and other whole grains are good sources of fiber. They help improve digestion, manage weight, and balance blood sugar levels. Maintaining a healthy weight is one of the important measures to control fatty liver.
3. Citrus Fruits and Berries
Oranges, lemons, amla, and blueberries are excellent sources of vitamin C and flavonoids. They strengthen liver enzymes and detoxify the liver. Drinking one amla or seasonal citrus fruit juice daily is considered best for the liver.
4. Green Tea
Antioxidants like catechins in green tea may help reduce oxidative stress in the body. Some research suggests that moderate green tea consumption may be associated with improvements in some risk factors associated with fatty liver. However, it is not a substitute for medication.
