Digital Desk, New Delhi. Pakistan has deployed approximately 250 Chinese-made SH-15 self-propelled howitzers along the border with India. The Indian government has now responded to this. The Ministry of External Affairs held a weekly media briefing on Tuesday. During the briefing, Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India will take whatever steps are necessary to protect the country.

A befitting reply was given

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson stated, “During Operation Sindoor, we witnessed the befitting response given to Pakistan. Our stance is that cross-border terrorism must stop. We will do whatever is necessary in our national interest. We are always vigilant in this regard.”

PoJK Elections Strongly Criticized

Randhir Jaiswal strongly criticized the recent PoJK elections, calling them a sham. He also accused the government of suppressing protests by Pakistani citizens. He said it was suppressed using force. He added, “The so-called local elections in PoK are a complete sham. In reality, there is local protest and indiscriminate killing by the Pakistan Army. Such hollow exercises cannot hide the truth.”

‘Hollow Electoral Exercise’

Randhir Jaiswal further stated, “At least 90 people have lost their lives in the crackdown since June this year. The Pakistani administration has responded to public discontent with gunfire, power cuts, intimidation, and repression. Now, it is seeking to gain legitimacy through a hollow electoral exercise.” He also urged the international community to hold Islamabad accountable.
