Due to this, many states, including Uttar Pradesh, are expected to receive heavy rainfall over the next few days. Meteorologists have issued a warning of heavy rain in many parts of Uttar Pradesh over the next 48 hours.

Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey, a meteorologist at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, said that according to the latest data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon trough is passing through Amritsar, Karnal, Hardoi, Ranchi, and Digha on Wednesday. This line is further extending into the northeastern Bay of Bengal.

He said that due to the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal and the active monsoon system, the trough line has moved towards the plains of North India and the Terai areas of Ganga.

Along with this, due to the cyclonic circulation formed around North-East Rajasthan and Delhi, monsoon is fully active in Delhi-NCR, Lucknow and surrounding areas.

According to Dr. Pandey, this weather condition is expected to bring heavy rainfall to Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, and Haryana for the next three to four days. Yellow and orange alerts have been issued for these areas for the next 48 hours.

He said that monsoon activity will remain strong over Punjab and Bihar for the next three to six days. Rainfall intensity may remain normal or moderate in western and southern parts of Rajasthan, while northeastern districts are expected to receive good rainfall.

Warning of rain with thunder and lightning in many districts of Uttar Pradesh for the next three hours. Meteorological Centre, Lucknow has issued district level nowcast (immediate) weather warning for Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning.

This warning was issued at 7:04 a.m. and will remain in effect until 10:04 a.m. According to the department, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is likely in many districts of the state, and heavy rain in some places.

According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rain with thundershowers is likely in Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Banda, Kaushambi, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Jalaun, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Kanpur Nagar, Jhansi, Kanpur Dehat and Unnao.

Apart from this, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Prayagraj, Sant Ravidas Nagar (Bhadohi), Varanasi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Ballia, Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Jalaun, Raebareli.

Amethi, Kanpur Nagar, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Etawah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Hathras, Mathura, Kasganj, Azamgarh, Mau, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Unnao, Auraiya, Lucknow.

Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected in Kannauj, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Aligarh, Badaun, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Baghpat, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Saharanpur.

The Meteorological Department has urged people to stay away from open spaces, trees, and power poles during bad weather, avoid unnecessary travel, and monitor the latest weather updates. It has also been advised to take shelter in a safe place and exercise caution during lightning.

Meteorologist Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey has appealed to the people to follow the warnings of the Meteorological Department, avoid going to waterlogged areas unnecessarily and remain alert during bad weather.
