Rajasthan News: The Rajasthan government has taken a major step toward strengthening the state’s road network. Implementing the announcements made in the 2026-27 budget, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved 3,232 non-patchable and missing link road projects at a cost of ₹2,101.16 crore. The government says these works will improve road connectivity between villages, towns, and cities. This will provide people with safe, fast, and convenient travel, while also strengthening the state’s infrastructure.
Connectivity of villages, towns and cities will improve
The government’s plan primarily aims to provide improved road connectivity to areas where road connectivity is incomplete or has been in poor condition for a long time. Upon completion, the new projects will facilitate mobility between rural and urban areas. This will reduce daily travel time and make access to remote areas easier than before.
Farmers, youth and businessmen will get benefits
The government believes that a strong road network will benefit farmers, youth, and businessmen the most. Farmers will find it easier to transport their crops and other agricultural produce to markets, saving both transportation costs and time. Youth will also benefit from access to education and employment opportunities. Traders and entrepreneurs will also benefit from improved road transportation for freight, which is expected to boost economic activity.
Infrastructure will get new strength
The state government is continuously working to connect every village, town, and city with improved road facilities. The government believes that good roads not only facilitate transportation but also promote investment, industry, and trade. This is why Budget 2026-27 places special emphasis on road construction and connecting missing links.
Access to remote areas will be easier
New road projects will also provide improved connectivity to areas that previously faced difficulties in commuting. Repairing non-permanent roads and constructing missing link roads will facilitate access to health, education, and other essential services, while also making travel safer and more comfortable.
The government is rapidly implementing the budget announcement.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma described the approval of the road projects as an important step toward timely completion of budget announcements. The government’s goal is to develop a quality road network across Rajasthan, accelerating development and strengthening the state’s economy. The government says that the completion of these 3,232 road projects will provide a new impetus to social and economic development and make Rajasthan’s transportation system more efficient and modern.
