West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul launched a scathing attack on TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha, saying that Sinha never came forward to help us in all these years, and now that we have a double-engine government, he is advising us to work together.
Speaking to the media, Agnimitra Paul said, “Where was Shatrughan Sinha all these years? He’s been a two-term MP. Where was he? Now that our government is in power, you’re saying you want to work together with the MLAs? Why? Why didn’t you think so last year when we repeatedly requested to be invited to administrative meetings?”
He said, “Our current Chief Minister calls everyone. But we were never invited in the previous government. Shatrughan Sinha never even called us once. Now, suddenly, everyone feels like we should work together, stay united, and focus on development.”
He said, “We are your fans, but not your political work, but your acting. Coming from the industry you belong to, you should be more mindful of taking everyone along. Creative people tend to take everyone along, but Shatrughan Sinha didn’t get along with anyone.”
Agnimitra Paul said, “You were of no use. You didn’t do anything for the party. We didn’t even see you. You disappear every now and then and reappear. We only hear sometimes that you came and stayed at some grand hotel. That’s not how things work.”
He launched a scathing attack on Shatrughan Sinha, saying, “You guys get party tickets, contest elections, but don’t do anything for the public. Even if one person needed to be taken to AIIMS for treatment, we would face a lot of trouble. He didn’t come forward to help then. Now he’s asking because we have a double-engine government.”
