New Delhi: The blockade in both the Houses of Parliament is likely to continue today. Due to the lack of consensus between the opposition and the government, there may be uproar in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha today as well. The proceedings of both the Houses were adjourned for the day early on Wednesday. The Lok Sabha proceedings had to be adjourned due to the continuous opposition in Parliament. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju urged the opposition MPs to allow the House to function and also criticized the Congress, CPI and Samajwadi Party for politicizing the issue of the alleged scam in the Ram temple donation.
The revised agenda of the Lok Sabha for August 6 does not include the FCRA Amendment Bill. Government sources say that talks with the opposition to break the blockade in Parliament have not been successful so far. Instead of creating a ruckus, the government wants to pass the bill easily by clarifying all the facts in the House.
