Srinagar: Police on Wednesday announced a reward of ₹1.5 million for Mohammad Latif Butt, a self-proclaimed local terrorist commander of the Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) hit squad in South Kashmir. He is accused of killing two civilians from Chhattisgarh last week, making him a most-wanted terrorist in Kashmir.
The police have also released posters of Latif Bhat at several places in Kashmir. These posters have been pasted on walls and pillars in all busy and important areas. It is noteworthy that terrorist Mohammad Latif Bhat, who became active in Lashkar-e-Taiba in November, after killing a policeman in Lal Chowk Pahalgam on July 22 , also killed two workers from Chhattisgarh in Kelam Kulgam on July 31 last week . The police also said that the name of the person who identifies the terrorist will also be kept secret.
