Salman Khan has joined the film fraternity in mourning the loss of veteran actor Pradeep Rawat, who passed away at the age of 74 after battling blood cancer. The superstar took to Instagram Stories to share a nostalgic throwback photo from Baaghi, accompanied by a heartfelt note remembering the moments they shared over the years. While the post was brief, it struck an emotional chord with fans, who flooded social media with messages of condolence and admiration for the late actor's legacy. Salman Khan paid an emotional tribute to veteran actor Pradeep Rawat following his demise on August 4. Taking to his Instagram Stories, the superstar shared a nostalgic throwback photo from Baaghi, while remembering Rawat with a heartfelt message.

The actor wrote, "Shared many good moments with you brother.. May you rest in peace." The note reflected the bond the two actors shared over the years and quickly caught fans' attention on social media.

 passed away at the age of 74 after a prolonged battle with blood cancer. According to his manager Siddharth Tiwari, the actor had been admitted to a Mumbai hospital for over a month after his illness relapsed. He is survived by his wife and son, Vikramaditya.

Known for his towering screen presence, Rawat enjoyed a career spanning decades across Hindi and South Indian cinema. He became a household name for portraying memorable antagonists in films such as Ghajini, Lagaan, Sarfarosh, Baadshah, Koyla, and several Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, and Bhojpuri films. Before entering films, he also played Ashwatthama in B.R. Chopra's iconic television series Mahabharat.

 

On the professional front,  is gearing up for the release of Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film, previously announced as Battle of Galwan, was originally slated to hit theatres in April 2026. While the makers are yet to announce a new release date, Salman has confirmed that the film will arrive later this year. Besides the action drama, the superstar is also set to return as the host of Bigg Boss 20, with shooting expected to begin in September ahead of its September 6 premiere.
