To enhance the mobile calling experience in India, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has relaunched its ‘MyCall’ app with new features and an improved interface. Consumers can now rate their voice call quality and directly share details about issues encountered during calls. TRAI states that this will assist telecom companies in improving their networks and enable faster resolution of consumer complaints.
**An easy way for consumers to lodge complaints**
TRAI has introduced a revamped version of its ‘MyCall’ app with the aim of improving the mobile calling experience. Launched on Monday, the app features a new interface and several useful additions. According to TRAI, the app will serve as a vital link between consumers and telecom companies. It allows users to rate voice call quality and directly report problems faced during calls, helping to identify the actual state of the network.
**1-to-5-star ratings and various complaint options**
During the launch, TRAI Chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti stated that the ‘MyCall’ app would provide consumers with an effective tool. Users can rate their recent voice calls on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Additionally, they can report technical issues such as call drops, echoes, audio delays, cross-connections, and intermittent voice cut-outs. This will enable telecom companies to understand the real-world issues users face during calls.
**Download from the Google Play Store**
According to TRAI, consumer feedback received via the ‘MyCall’ app will be shared with the respective telecom service providers. By analyzing this feedback, companies can take necessary steps to improve network and call quality. TRAI has urged the public to download the app from the Google Play Store and share their experiences after every call. The regulator believes that the more people use this app, the more accurate the data will be, which will help improve the quality of mobile calling services across the country.
