Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav is in the news these days not for his films, but for his financial troubles. He has a debt of crores of rupees, and preparations are underway to auction two of his properties in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

It is being reported that Rajpal Yadav took a loan from a bank to produce a film, but he failed to repay it on time. Following this, the bank initiated legal proceedings. Now, the news of his properties being auctioned has become a topic of discussion.

Why are Rajpal Yadav’s properties being auctioned?

According to reports, Rajpal Yadav owes approximately ₹16.61 crore to the Central Bank of India, Mumbai. To recover this amount, the bank has posted auction notices on two of his properties in Shahjahanpur. One is in the city, while the other is located in the village, consisting of agricultural land and a house. The total value of these two properties is estimated to be approximately ₹3.19 crore. Their online auction will take place on September 9th.

For which film did he take a loan of crores?

According to reports, Rajpal Yadav took this loan from the bank for the production of his film “Aata Pata Lapata.” After failing to repay the loan on time, the bank seized the mortgaged properties and has now begun the process of recovering the outstanding amount by selling them.

Were family properties also pledged for the loan?

It is being reported that Rajpal Yadav also mortgaged the properties of his mother, Godavari Yadav, and Radha Yadav. Based on this, the bank has taken action against these properties. According to reports, the process of auctioning his other properties in Mumbai, in addition to Shahjahanpur, is also underway.

Why is Rajpal Yadav embroiled in a check bounce case?

Rajpal Yadav is already facing a check bounce case. It is reported that this case was also filed on the complaint of a businessman from Shahjahanpur. Now, with the news of the auction of the properties, discussions about his financial situation have intensified. However, the bank says that this entire action is being taken to recover the outstanding loan as per the rules.
