Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke said on Thursday that the CJP will launch a campaign called “Kya Bolti Public” next month to communicate with people across the country and understand their problems. “During this ‘Kya Bolti Public’ campaign, we will find out what people think about the current situation in the country and what issues they are facing,” Dipke said.

Describing Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as Union Education Minister as the biggest success of the student protests, Deepak said, “The fear this government has instilled in people over the past 10-12 years has now ended.” He said, “Now people will take to the streets. Today they demanded the resignation of one person. Tomorrow they will demand the resignation of others as well.”

Deepak said, “CJP will work for a developed India as per the vision of Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit (Jawaharlal) Nehru. Our ideology is the same as that of the Constitution of India,” he said. CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das, spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and other representatives were also present at the press conference. Last month, CJP-led protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi over the NEET question paper leak and other irregularities in the exam forced Dharmendra Pradhan to resign as Union Education Minister.

Deepak said that not only students but also unemployed youth participated in the protest at Jantar Mantar. He said, “Unemployment is a major problem, and we will make it a nationwide issue. We will work to improve education. Education, even through schooling, is unaffordable. Education has become a profit-making business. But we want to change that.”

Deepak noted that 60 percent of the country’s population is under the age of 35, and that those protesting at Jantar Mantar were among the same age group. The CJP founder also said that the media’s credibility needs to be restored.
