Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: In July 2026, Uttar Pradesh generated revenue of Rs 21,754 crore from major tax and non-tax revenue items, which is Rs 3,360 crore more than the same period last year. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said on Wednesday that in July 2025, revenue of Rs 18,394 crore was received from these items.
He said that against the target of Rs 1.11 lakh crore in tax revenue till July in the financial year 2026-27, Rs 82,406.48 crore has been received, which is 74.2 percent of the target set.
According to the Finance Minister, in July, revenue of Rs 7,821 crore was received from GST, Rs 3,268 crore from VAT, Rs 5,053 crore from excise, Rs 4,237 crore from stamp and registration, and Rs 1,113 crore from transport. In these, an annual increase of Rs 872 crore in GST, Rs 449 crore in VAT, Rs 699 crore in excise, Rs 1,125 crore in stamp and registration and Rs 252 crore in transport item was recorded.
He informed that till July, 95.7 percent of the target revenue has been achieved in excise item, 80.2 percent in stamp and registration and 100.8 percent in transport item. Suresh Kumar Khanna said that due to the strong financial system of the state, transparent tax administration and effective revenue management, the revenue collection of the state is continuously increasing. He also expressed gratitude to the taxpayers for this.
