Lucknow: Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed and Shaista Parveen, died in a road accident in Jhansi. His friend was also killed in the accident. Aban, who recently graduated from the 12th grade, was the youngest of his siblings.
The body will be brought from Jhansi to Prayagraj
The accident occurred in Jhansi district. After the post-mortem examination and other legal procedures are completed, the bodies of Aban and his friend will be brought to Prayagraj. The family has decided to cremate Aban at the Kasari-Masari cemetery in Prayagraj, about 2 kilometers from Atiq Ahmed’s ancestral home.
Why was Kasari-Masari cemetery chosen?
The primary reason for choosing this cemetery is family tradition. Most of the members of the Atiq Ahmed family were cremated here. The graves of Atiq’s parents are located here. Atiq Ahmed himself and his brother Ashraf were also buried in this cemetery.
The grave of Atiq’s son, Asad, who was killed in an encounter last year following the Umesh Pal murder case, is also located here. Now, Aban’s grave will be built next to those of Atiq, Ashraf, and Asad. According to locals, this area is like a family graveyard for the Atiq family. Therefore, it was decided to conduct Aban’s funeral here as well.
What is the condition of Atiq’s five sons?
Atiq Ahmed had five sons. His eldest son, Umar, is currently in Lucknow jail. His second son, Ali, is in Jhansi jail. His third son, Asad, was killed in a police encounter. His fourth son, Aban, is currently living with relatives in the Hatwa area of Prayagraj. His youngest, Aban, died in the accident.
From the Umesh Pal case to the viral video
Aban was a minor at the time of the Umesh Pal murder. Therefore, he was sent to a juvenile home. Later, on a court order, he was released into the custody of his family. He has been living with relatives ever since. Aban once again came into the spotlight in November 2025.
A 30-second video of him at a wedding ceremony went viral. A threatening dialogue could be heard in the background. The Dhoomanganj police registered a case and investigated. Since then, he has been in the media spotlight. Now, this road accident has brought another wave of grief to the Atiq family.
