Tehran/Dubai. Amidst rising tensions in West Asia, reports of a series of explosions have emerged in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to local authorities, seven explosions were recorded within a span of approximately 20 minutes. However, no official information has yet been released regarding the cause of these explosions.
Following the incident, several videos surfaced on social media showing thick black smoke rising over the Jebel Ali area. Officials stated that two people were detained for filming and sharing the incident without permission.
Iran’s Mehr News Agency quoted Emirati officials as saying that the series of explosions lasted approximately 20 minutes. Meanwhile, some Iraqi media outlets claimed that missiles were fired from Yemen towards the UAE amid ongoing tensions between the US and Iran. However, these claims have not been independently verified, and the UAE government has not officially confirmed any such missile attack.
Meanwhile, NASA thermal imagery indicated a fire at a warehouse near Jebel Ali Port. It is reported that the warehouse was used for fuel storage and transportation. However, it is unclear whether the fire was the cause or the result of the explosions. No Confirmation of Casualties
According to officials, there has been no official confirmation of any deaths or injuries in the incident. Relief and security agencies are monitoring the area and the cause of the incident is ongoing.
Meanwhile, regional media reports claimed that explosion-like sounds were heard in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital. Some reports linked these sounds to airstrikes, while others suspected a possible missile launch from Yemen. These claims have also not been independently confirmed.
