Massive fire at Greater Noida chip factory: 2 firefighters killed, 3 injured as wall and iron beam collapse

A major fire broke out at a chip manufacturing factory in Greater Noida on Thursday. A factory wall and a heavy iron beam collapsed on firefighters trying to douse the flames, killing two firefighters on the spot and seriously injuring three others.

According to reports, as soon as the fire was reported, several fire engines arrived at the scene and rescue operations began. Meanwhile, a portion of the factory suddenly collapsed, trapping several firefighters. The accident caused panic at the scene, and rescue operations were immediately intensified.

The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital where they are receiving treatment. According to officials, efforts are underway to control the fire and an investigation is underway to determine if anyone else is trapped inside the factory.
