Someshwar Foundation member and corporator Sunny Nimhan said that it is our consistent effort to provide a platform for quality competitions to players from rural and urban areas through the Vinayaki Krida Mahotsav. Carrom is a game that develops concentration, skill and patience, and this is a great opportunity for talented players in the state to showcase their talents. With the approval of Maharashtra Carrom Association and Carrom Association of Pune, this competition will be played in two groups, men’s singles and women’s singles, and the first eight winners of both the groups will be given a total cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh 10 thousand. 160 players have registered their participation in the men’s singles group and 32 players in the women’s singles group. Abhijit Tripankar of Pune and Samriddhi Ghadigaonkar of Thane have been given the first prize in the men’s singles group and in the women’s singles group, respectively. The live broadcast of the competition will be done on the YouTube channel of Maharashtra Carrom Association.

In the open district level roller skating competition organized by ‘Someshwar Foundation’ on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former MLA Vinayak Nimhan, children of various age groups won the title on the strength of their brilliant performance. In this, Ridhan Singh, Ashwi Nagda, Swanand Das, Dhyanam Trivedi, Dhanvi Pathak, Shruvi Dudhane and Ahira Khilare achieved success by securing the top position in their respective groups. The competition was held in the ‘Perry Dot Hall’ at ‘Sunny’s World’ on Pashan-Sus road with enthusiasm. In this competition, Ridhan Singh of ‘Champion Skating Club’ won the first position in the quad category for special children under 6 years. Ridhan is studying in the senior KG class at Pawar Public School.
