
The family of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed suffered a major tragedy on Thursday when his younger son, Aban Ahmed, died in a road accident here. Aban was traveling from Prayagraj to visit his brother, Ali Ahmed, who is imprisoned in Jhansi jail. Upon learning of the incident, Atiq’s eldest son, Ahzam, rushed to Jhansi Medical College and burst into tears upon seeing his younger brother’s body.

Atiq Ahmed’s entire family is falling apart. One of his five sons was killed in an encounter after the Umesh Pal murder case. Another died today. The other two are in different jails. Atiq himself and his younger brother Abrar have already been killed in encounters. Atiq’s wife is absconding. As a result, his fourth son, Ajam, is completely alone. Responding to a question from journalists, he appealed to the government to allow his brothers, who are in jail, to attend Aban’s funeral.
Aban was on his way to meet his elder brother Ali Ahmed, who was lodged in Jhansi jail.
Regarding the accident, Aban was traveling with four other friends to Jhansi, where one of his brothers, Ali Ahmed, is imprisoned. The horrific accident occurred in the Poonch police station area of Jhansi when their car collided with a divider. Aban and one of his friends died in the accident. Three other young men in the car were seriously injured.
All the injured, including Aban, were brought to Jhansi Medical College. Doctors and paramedics immediately began treating the injured. The bodies of Aban and Sonu, the two victims, were sent to the post-mortem house after the paperwork was completed. The family arrived at the post-mortem house late in the evening.

Atiq Ahmed’s fourth son, Aazam Ahmed, identified his brother Aban’s body and broke down in tears. People nearby somehow consoled him. Aazam said that on Thursday morning, Aaban had left in a car with four friends to visit his brother Ali, who was in jail. He had no idea such a tragedy would occur. Aazam pleaded with his elder brother, Ali, who was in Jhansi jail, and Omar Ahmed, who was in Lucknow jail, to allow him to visit Aban’s body.
