Real Madrid have smashed their club transfer record by completing the blockbuster signing of teenage winger Yan Diomandé from RB Leipzig.
The move, which followed several weeks of talks between the two clubs, has been finalised for a guaranteed €125 million, with a further €15m reportedly payable if bonus clauses are triggered.
That makes the Ivory Coast international both the most expensive African footballer in history and Real Madrid's costliest signing ever, surpassing the €103m fee paid for Jude Bellingham.
Diomandé has put pen to paper on a contract running until the summer of 2031 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
It marks a remarkable profit for the Bundesliga club, who signed him only last summer from Leganés after activating his €20m release clause.
During his lone season with Leipzig, the 19-year-old scored 12 goals and provided nine assists.
