India vs Sri Lanka XI Warm-Up Match, Day 1 LIVE Updates: The Shubman Gill-led Indian team takes on Sri Lanka XI in a three-day practice match at the Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo, starting today.
The contest serves as the lone warm-up fixture for the visitors before the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka gets underway in Galle on August 15. The game also holds major significance as many of the Indian players will be playing the red-ball format for the first time on these shores. For Sri Lanka XI, young bowling all-rounder Sonal Dinusha has been named captain.
