The family of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed, who was traveling from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, to visit his brother in Jhansi jail, has been struck by immense grief. A tragic road accident on the highway in the Poonch police station area of ​​Jhansi killed Atiq Ahmed’s youngest son, Aban Ahmed, and his companion, Sonu Khan, on the spot. Three other people in the car were seriously injured in the horrific accident and have been admitted to Jhansi Medical College for treatment in critical condition. Upon receiving information about the accident, local police immediately arrived at the scene and began relief work and legal procedures.

Police are investigating

The car was carrying Ahjam, Mohammad Zaid, Umar, Sonu Khan, and Atiq Ahmed’s son, Aban Ahmed, residents of Fatwa, Prayagraj. At the time of the accident, there was screaming and shouting, and a crowd of passersby gathered in the immediate vicinity.

Speeding car hits divider

The accident occurred on the highway near Khilli village in the Poonch police station area when a speeding car coming from Prayagraj suddenly lost control and crashed into the divider with a loud bang. The impact was so severe and horrific that the front portion of the car was completely mangled and damaged.

Family was on its way to meet Ali Ahmed

Atiq Ahmed’s son, Ali Ahmed, was transferred from Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj to Jhansi Jail on October 1, 2025. Ali has been imprisoned there since then. Aaban Ahmed, along with his family and acquaintances, had left Prayagraj for Jhansi to visit his brother Ali in jail. The car suddenly lost control and crashed into the divider with a loud bang.

Horrific Road Accident

The deceased, Aaban Ahmed, was one of the youngest sons of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed. At the time of the infamous Umesh Pal murder case, Aaban and his brother, Aazam, were both minors. At that time, the police and administration placed both brothers in a juvenile home as part of legal procedures. Later, in October 2023, after the legal process was completed, they were released from the juvenile home and handed over to their aunt. This sudden tragedy has once again deeply shocked Atiq Ahmed’s remaining family and relatives.
