The film ‘Tarzan: The Wonder Car,’ starring Ajay Devgn, has marked its 22nd anniversary since its release. On this occasion, Devgn reminisced about the film’s memorable moments. The actor shared a clip from the movie on Stories, stating, “Not only do I drive the car, but I can also build one if needed. ‘Tarzan: The Wonder Car’ has completed 22 years since its release.” Released in 2004, this Bollywood action thriller featured Vatsal Seth and Ayesha Takia in lead roles, while Ajay Devgn portrayed Vatsal’s father. The plot revolves around Ajay Devgn’s character, a car designer who creates a stunning and modern vehicle. However, greed leads to his murder, and the car is discarded into the water. Years later, Devendra’s son, Raj (played by Vatsal Seth), buys the old car from a junkyard and refurbishes it, naming it ‘Tarzan’ in memory of his father. Inside the car, the spirit of Raj’s father awakens, and the vehicle starts on its own. It seeks revenge on those who killed Devendra. Ultimately, the truth is revealed, bringing peace to the father’s soul. Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the film featured a magical and stylish sports car as its main attraction. During its release, car enthusiasm was at an all-time high. The Tarzan car was designed by renowned automobile designer Dilip Chhabria. It reportedly took around eight months to create this unique and futuristic vehicle, which was valued at approximately 2 crore rupees at the time. The impressive car was actually built on the 1991 Toyota MR2 platform.
