Rodri appears increasingly likely to join Real Madrid this summer and, if the transfer is completed, the big question is where his wages would place him among his new team-mates.

The Ballon d’Or winner has not hidden his wish to return to Spain and, after being named the best player at the World Cup, it now seems he could finally get that move.

With one year still remaining on his Manchester City contract, Real Madrid are in talks to find out whether they can sign the Ballon d’Or winner for a cut-price fee. That also raises the question of what kind of salary he would earn at the club.

A report from Spain has indicated that Rodri would even be prepared to accept a pay cut to make the move happen. While that may seem unlikely, there has so far been very little confirmation over what he might actually earn.

So, using his current Manchester City wages converted into euros, here is an estimate of how he would compare with the rest of the Real Madrid squad.
