Indian women’s team’s tour of South Africa: Revised schedule released, now T20 series will be played along with Tests and ODIs.
Revised schedule: Tour to begin on December 9
Under the revised schedule, the one-off Test match between the two teams will be played from December 9 to 12. This will be followed by a three-match ODI series from December 16 to 22. Due to the tour changes, the Indian women’s team will stay an additional week in South Africa, where a three-match T20I series will be played from December 26 to 30. The T20Is will be held in Benoni and Potchefstroom.

The focus will be on preparations for the Champions Trophy
CSA believes this tour will be an excellent opportunity for both teams to prepare for the inaugural Women’s Champions Trophy, to be held in Sri Lanka in February. The Indian women’s team previously toured South Africa in March-April, losing the five-match T20 series 1-4. South Africa also defeated India during the Women’s T20 World Cup in England.
