Under the dazzling lights of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Asia’s emerging red-hot T20 superstars are set to converge in a spectacular showdown. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the fixtures for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 that will be held from August 28 to September 13. Defending champions India are eager to maintain their dominance in Asia as the 17-day tournament offers a unique opportunity to witness the intense showdowns, subcontinental superstars, and knockout matches in one iconic venue.

Two Groups, One Venue: The Battleground Set for Women’s Asia Cup 2026

In contrast to previous years when the tournament was held in different cities, this year it will take place only within Dubai. Thus, all eight teams that have qualified for the Super Six will be gathered in one EMAAPL badminton arena, pressing each other in five best-of-five-set matches:

Group A: India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong (China)

Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia

The opening draw will take place on Friday, August 28, when Thailand will host Hong Kong. Each team has to play three group matches, with the two best teams qualifying for the semi-finals on September 10-11 and the final match on September 13.

Marquee Clash: India vs Pakistan Highlights League Stage, Says Report

While India are overwhelming favourites to defend their title, their campaign in Colombo is set to be defined by the marquee clash with Pakistan on Saturday, September 5

The Women in Blue kick off their campaign against Thailand on August 30, and play Hong Kong on September 3, but the match against their bitter rivals is set to decide if they retain the top spot in Group A and carry the advantage into the knockout phase.

The opening matches in Group B between Sri Lanka and hosts UAE on August 29, and Bangladesh and Indonesia on August 31 will also offer a glimpse into the crunch tie in this group. The marquee clash in Pool B has been scheduled between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on September 6, and will see the finalists of the last edition locking horns with one another.
