The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in the coming days at many places.
Jaipur ( PTI) The reactivation of the southwest monsoon has brought heavy rains to several cities and towns across Rajasthan, including the state capital Jaipur. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at many places in the coming days.
According to the IMD’s Jaipur center , moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded at many places in the state during the past 24 hours until Friday morning . During this period, Bharatpur , Alwar , Dholpur , Jaipur , Sikar , Karauli, and Sawai Madhopur districts experienced isolated heavy rainfall , while Deeg district experienced extremely heavy rainfall.
He said the highest rainfall of 158 mm fell in the hilly region of Deeg district. Intermittent rain continued in the capital, Jaipur, from late Thursday night. Dense clouds enveloped the city and surrounding areas Friday morning, and rain continued at many locations.
According to the Meteorological Department , heavy rain is likely to continue in the state for the next few days. They stated that between August 7th and 10th , rainfall activity will increase in parts of the Bharatpur , Jaipur , Kota , Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions of eastern Rajasthan, with isolated heavy rainfall possible.
Rainfall activity will also increase in some areas of the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan from August 7 to 10 , with moderate to heavy rainfall possible. However , rainfall activity may decrease in most parts of the state after August 15 .
