According to religious belief, a person visiting a Hanuman temple and reverently bringing the vermilion from the statue’s shoulder. A small tilak of this vermilion is then applied to the forehead of a person believed to be suffering from the evil eye. It is believed that this prayer will alleviate the negative effects.

Tuesday and Saturday are considered the most auspicious days for this remedy. These days are considered special for worshipping Lord Hanuman. This remedy can be performed with devotion and discipline during morning or evening prayers.

  • Worship with devotion and light a lamp or incense sticks.
  • Respecting the tradition of the temple, get the vermillion from the shoulder of Hanumanji.
  • After coming home, apply a light tilak on the forehead of the person who is believed to be affected by evil eye.
  • While applying tilak, remember Hanuman ji or chant the mantra ‘Om Hanumate Namah’.
