Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the “National Handloom Day Celebrations 2026” in Lucknow. During the ceremony, he launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav. He stated that governments prior to 2017 were steeped in nepotism and lacked time for action.
Taking aim at Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister said, “Some people remain children their entire lives, and Babua does the same. He would wake up at 12 noon, get ready at 2 p.m. By 5 p.m., it would be time for him to go to the gym, and by 7 p.m., the party would be set up. He had no time to think about the state and the country. This led to riots and months-long curfews. The state of law and order in the state was so dire that the biggest threat to women was from these Samajwadi Party members.”
Let us inform you that, on the occasion of ‘National Handloom Day’, in a ceremony held in Lucknow today, the ‘Saint Kabir State Level Handloom Award’ was presented to weavers and artisans who performed outstanding work. On this occasion, cheques were distributed to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Handloom and Powerloom Industry Development Scheme and the Jhalkari Bai Kori Handloom and Powerloom Development Scheme. Also, MoUs were exchanged with major buyers of handloom products.
He said, the respect, self-respect and prosperity of handicraftsmen are the top priorities of the double engine government. We always stand together for your bright future and the preservation and promotion of the state’s glorious handicraft tradition.
