Silver prices jump

Unlike gold, silver prices have seen a slight increase since the market opened today. MCX silver futures prices have risen by ₹71 to ₹217,550 per kg. According to GoodReturns, one kg of silver is selling for ₹235,000 in major cities across the country. Bullions clearly recorded a silver price of ₹218,160 per kg.

There is a slight difference in the price of 24-carat gold in different major cities of the country. In cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Ayodhya and Jaipur, 24-carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,43,660 per 10 grams. In the financial capital Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore, the latest price of gold is recorded at Rs 1,43,510 per 10 grams. In Chennai, the retail price of 24-carat gold is Rs 1,44,150.

According to HDFC Securities expert Saumil Gandhi, the strengthening of the Indian rupee has put pressure on precious metals. Praveen Singh of Sharekhan notes that tensions in West Asia have significantly increased crude oil prices.
