Kolkata: Mithun Chakraborty, a veteran actor of Hindi and Bengali cinema and a senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Committee, was recently admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. Following a surgery, he is currently under observation. This information was provided by Suvendu Adhikari, who visited the hospital to inspect the actor’s health and wished him a speedy recovery. Suvendu also shared glimpses of the meeting on his social media account.

Mithun Chakraborty at the hospital and shared the pictures of the meeting on his official Facebook account. In the pictures, the veteran actor is seen resting on the hospital bed. Giving information about his health condition, Adhikari wrote an emotional message on social media that renowned actor and hardworking BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty is admitted in a hospital in Kolkata due to physical illness. He visited the hospital and spoke to him and enquired about his health. He prayed to God that Mithun Da should recover completely as soon as possible and return to work.
Details of the surgery were kept confidential.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Shubhendu Adhikari revealed that Mithun Chakraborty underwent a minor operation on Thursday night. He also stated that the actor wanted to keep the procedure completely private and away from publicity. Therefore, he had only informed a limited number of party leaders. According to Adhikari, Mithun Chakraborty had only informed him and the state president, Samik Bhattacharya, about the procedure. He did not want any publicity about his illness. After discussions with doctors, Adhikari confirmed that the surgery was successful and his condition was improving rapidly, and he would be discharged from the hospital soon.
Sharing Mithun Chakraborty’s health status, the official praised his multifaceted personality. He stated that Chakraborty’s identity is not limited to his political identity; he is a significant pillar of Indian art and culture. His contributions to the spread of nationalist ideas and political
change in West Bengal will always be remembered. Doctors have also clarified that the actor’s condition is stable and there is no cause for concern.
