Arsenal are back in the market after missing out on a marquee transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly refusing to budge on their valuation of Bradley Barcola, amid claims that Arsenal are interested in the Liverpool target.
After first deciding that Barcola would not be sold this summer, PSG are now willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old and have already held initial discussions with Liverpool.
However, Sky Sports report that there remains a major gap between the two clubs in terms of valuation.
This latest development follows reports of an agreement in principle between Liverpool and PSG for a fee believed to be around €128million (£109m).
Even so, with PSG valuing Barcola at £145m and remaining firm on that asking price, any deal is proving difficult to complete at this stage.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are understood to be interested in the France international after failing in their pursuit of Vinicius Junior, who opted to commit his future to Real Madrid by signing a new contract.
The Gunners, though, will know that, just as with Liverpool, any move for Barcola ultimately hinges on PSG being prepared to lower their demands.
Able to play on either wing as well as through the middle, Barcola scored 13 goals in 49 appearances for PSG last season and also provided seven assists across all competitions.
He then caught the eye for France at the World Cup, putting speculation over his future to one side as he scored three goals in North America, including one against England in the bronze final.
Barcola also played against Arsenal and Liverpool in the Champions League last season, coming off the bench in the final as PSG beat the Gunners on penalties, and later returning from injury at Anfield to help secure a quarter-final second-leg victory.
