The State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales). According to the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) 2026 notification, 1,538 Junior Associate posts are to be filled. Eligible candidates can apply from August 7 to August 27, 2026. Candidates can apply online exclusively through the SBI careers website. Applications can be submitted for vacancies in only one state or Union Territory (UT). Candidates are permitted to appear for the recruitment examination only once under this drive. Candidates must also be proficient in the local language of the state or Union Territory for which they are applying.
**Selection Process**
The preliminary examination will be held in September 2026, while the main examination is expected to take place in October or November. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be called for the main examination. Those who pass the main examination will be called for the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). The preliminary examination will be conducted online and will carry 100 marks. It will consist of three sections containing objective-type questions. The total duration of the exam will be one hour. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers; one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Candidates selected for appointment who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 will be required to take the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
