Actress Chandini Chowdary recently revealed a bitter experience she faced early in her career. Participating in “The Audition Show,” for a YouTube channel, she recalled a disturbing incident in which a producer allegedly harassed her by demanding sexual favors in exchange for a professional opportunity. In 2015, while “Brahmotsavam” was being shot, a producer reportedly approached Chandini with an offer to make her the brand ambassador for a prominent jewellery brand. Although he initially spoke to her in the presence of her mother, he later called Chandini privately. According to the actress, the producer began making comments about her appearance and complexion and indirectly demanded sexual favors. Chandini said she refused his advances. Following her refusal, the producer allegedly called her mother and behaved inappropriately with her as well. Chandini recalled that her mother was alarmed by the incident and sternly warned the producer that they would file a police complaint if he called again. She also recalled meeting the same producer again in 2024. According to Chandini, she confronted him directly and asked, “You were the one who asked me to sleep with you back then, weren’t you?” She said the producer was left speechless by the question. Chandini Chowdary has acted in several Telugu films, including Gaami, and has earned recognition for her performances. The Telugu-speaking actress has been relatively selective with her projects in recent times.
