Urdu television channel Dunya News, citing the Pakistani military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported that security forces launched the operation after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area. The army described the killed militants as belonging to “Fitna al-Khawarij.”

According to the ISPR, during the operation, the terrorists took refuge in a mosque, leading to an exchange of fire between security forces and the militants. Seven militants were killed in the exchange of fire.

During this, 27-year-old Captain Hamza Akram was killed while leading his unit. Security forces also claimed to have recovered weapons and ammunition from the scene.

The army said the killed terrorists were involved in various terrorist activities against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians. An operation is underway to search for other possible terrorists in the area.

Meanwhile, security forces also launched search operations in the Kambil and Asimabad areas of Balochistan. According to security sources, three militants were killed in the operation.

Sources said four other militants, including terrorist commander Shaukat Mama, were injured. Twelve suspects were also detained during the operation.

Apart from this, terrorist hideouts were destroyed in the operation and about 68 square kilometer area was freed from terrorists.

The Pakistan Army has stated that the campaign against terrorism will continue and that operations will be intensified to eliminate terrorist activities under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
