Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to interact with students in Prayagraj today. Ahead of his arrival, several controversial posters and banners have been put up across the city. These posters feature Rahul Gandhi’s image and target him on issues like Jharkhand and NEET.
Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, arrived in Prayagraj on Saturday. He will interact with students at the “Ghoonj” program. A poster war has already begun in Prayagraj ahead of his event. Numerous posters featuring Rahul Gandhi’s image and sharp political sarcasm have been put up in various parts of the city.
One poster reads, “Why should those who fled to Prayagraj be afraid to go to Jharkhand?” Another poster asks, “When the students of Jharkhand are demanding justice, why did Rahul come to Prayagraj to stage a drama?” Another poster reads, “When will you come, my Rahul? Jharkhand is calling you.”
These posters question Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Prayagraj and his interaction with students. One poster also targets Rahul Gandhi over the NEET exam. It reads, “There’s a limit to hypocrisy on NEET, Prayagraj wow, Jharkhand shit.”
There are no names on the posters.
The striking feature of these controversial posters is that they do not mention the name of any individual, organization, or political party. Therefore, it is not yet clear who put these posters up. However, the image of Rahul Gandhi and the political sarcasm directed at him have heated up the political atmosphere in Prayagraj.
Congress also put up posters and banners in the city.
Congress workers have put up posters and banners in various areas of Prayagraj regarding Rahul Gandhi’s program. Rahul Gandhi will interact with students here in the “Ghoonj” program. During the program, discussions are expected to cover the NEET exam, paper leaks, the education system, and several other important issues to students.
The Congress party is calling the event an important platform to raise students’ issues and voice their concerns. Meanwhile, the posters posted against Rahul Gandhi have further fueled the political debate.
Following this poster war that began before Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Prayagraj, all eyes are now focused on his student dialogue program. While the Congress party is preparing to raise student issues through this visit, the opposing posters have raised the political temperature in the city.
