Actress Surbhi Chandna has opened up about egg freezing, saying she supports women who choose the procedure but personally prefers to let motherhood take its natural course.

Speaking exclusively to IANS about the growing trend among actresses and other women to freeze their eggs, the Naagin actress said she does not currently feel the need to undergo the process.

Surbhi cited the example of her sister, who became a mother at 39 without medical intervention.

“My sister delivered a boy, he is two years old now, when she was 39, and it was a normal delivery. I also believe in it, and those who think it is important to freeze their eggs, very nice, but like my gynac told me, there will be a lot of hormonal imbalance if you go through it,” she said.

Surbhi said she was particularly conscious of the physical demands her sister’s profession placed on her, yet she was able to conceive naturally.

“I feel every child comes into this world with their own fate. I don’t know what will happen, but I feel that my sister, who has a flying job, putting her body through a lot of stress, can have a child naturally, I also want to go the natural way,” she added.

The actress acknowledged that the possibility of hormonal changes associated with egg freezing remains a concern for her.

“I don’t know when we are going to plan, but it will happen when the time is correct. Whenever it happens, it will be a God’s gift,” she said.

On the professional front, Surbhi has ventured into production with the Balaji Digital show Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam, produced under her banner Feel Good Studios.
