Mahindra Vision S: There is considerable buzz in the market regarding Mahindra’s new SUV, and the Mahindra Vision S has once again been spotted during testing. This time, it was seen on the streets of Bengaluru, where—despite heavy camouflage—several key elements of the SUV were clearly visible. Notably, the test mule appears much closer to the production-ready stage than before. The Mahindra Vision S will be a new sub-4-meter SUV, likely featuring a robust, boxy design and powerful features. It is expected to come with petrol and diesel engine options and include features like ADAS.
Mahindra Vision S: Boxy Design
Starting with the design, the Vision S’s standout feature is likely its boxy and upright silhouette. The front displays Mahindra’s signature grille, with a radar sensor positioned in the centre. This clearly indicates that the SUV will be equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
A large central air intake sits lower down, while ‘ice-cube’ style fog lamp housings are visible on both sides of the bumper. At the rear, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel sets it apart from conventional compact SUVs; the test mule was spotted with a spare wheel featuring 235/60 R18 tyres. Additionally, the squared-off tailgate, chunky bumper, and upright rear profile give it a rugged, robust SUV stance.
Mahindra Vision S: Premium Features
In terms of features, it is expected to come with a fully digital instrument cluster and a large, freestanding infotainment touchscreen. The dashboard may feature vertically positioned AC vents and a premium layout.
Higher-end variants are expected to offer features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, powered seats, an electronic parking brake, and connected car technology.
Mahindra Vision S: Platform
The Mahindra Vision S is being developed on the company’s new NU_IQ multi-energy platform. Mahindra previously showcased concepts based on this platform, including the Vision S, Vision T, Vision SXT, and Vision X, in August 2025. According to the company, the NU_IQ architecture has been designed to support SUVs of various sizes and a wide range of powertrains. Mahindra Vision S Launch
As for its launch, the Mahindra Vision S is expected to be showcased in near-production form around August 14. Subsequently, its market launch could take place around September 2026—that is, before Diwali.
