Leicester City are preparing for the possible departure of academy midfielder Louis Page.

As per BBC Sport, Manchester United are making progress on a deal for the 18-year-old, with discussions still continuing. Arsenal and Aston Villa have also registered interest.

United and Arsenal had both been linked with him earlier in the transfer window, before the speculation quietened during pre-season. Page featured regularly in Russell Martin's side and came on as a substitute in Saturday's Carabao Cup victory over Northampton.

The Lutterworth-born midfielder made his breakthrough last season, playing 21 times for the first team, including five starts in the Championship.

With a little over three weeks left in the transfer window, any transfer could force Leicester to look for more midfield additions.

Page is under a professional contract at the King Power Stadium, which means Leicester would be due a transfer fee. He could become the latest academy product to leave after 17-year-old Jeremy Monga joined Manchester City earlier this summer.

Monga's move was only finalised once his professional contract came into effect, ensuring Leicester received what is believed to be a fair fee of around £12.5m.

Page had been tipped to play a major part in Leicester's rebuilding job following relegation to League One. Martin has spoken positively about the academy's work, with Sammy Braybrooke and Jayden Joseph both catching the eye in pre-season.
