Manchester United are pursuing a move for Leicester City prospect Louis Page, according to BBC Sport.
The Red Devils are not alone in the race, with Arsenal and Aston Villa also interested in landing the highly rated teenager.
Page, the son of former professional footballer Don Page, has established himself as one of the most promising young midfielders around.
He caught the eye with his displays for Leicester’s youth sides and was named the club’s Academy Player of the Season at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The 18-year-old made his competitive senior debut in August last year against Huddersfield Town in the League Cup.
He has gone on to make 21 senior appearances for the Foxes, including five starts last season when they were relegated to League One.
Page mainly plays in central midfield, although he is also capable of operating in a defensive role or further forward.
United had already signed 18-year-old Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer in a deal worth £8 million.
They also recently announced the arrival of Cristian Orozco from Colombian club Fortaleza FC.
Michael Carrick’s team are now trying to finalise a deal for Page, who has been labelled ‘one of the brightest talents in our system’ by Leicester.
United have been looking for a third midfielder after bringing in Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
However, Page is viewed as a player for the future, with the club still expected to sign an established first-team star before the transfer window closes.
