
Share Market Outlook: The next week will be crucial for the Indian stock market. US-Iran tensions, first-quarter results, crude oil prices, and domestic economic data will determine market movements. The August 10-14 trading session includes Skygold, Bosch, Bombay Dyeing, Dollar, DBL, ITDC, Vodafone Idea, IdeaForge, Hindustan Copper, Linde India, VGuard, Zee, Bata India, EPAC, EPL, IFCI, JNK India, and others.
Investors will also be keeping an eye on tensions between the US and Iran. Currently, attacks between the two countries have stopped, keeping crude oil prices near $83. Retail and wholesale inflation data will be released next week. Inflation data reflects the supply and demand situation in the market and is considered a key indicator for stock market investors.
How was the domestic market last week?
Additionally, the past week was quite good for the Indian stock market . Nifty closed at 24,570.65, up 187.05 points or 0.77 percent, and Sensex closed at 78,499.17, up 404.53 points or 0.52 percent. Midcap and smallcap markets also performed well during this period. Nifty Midcap 100 index was at 63,463.55, up 548.25 points or 0.87 percent, and Nifty Smallcap 100 index was at 19,867.80, up 528.15 points or 2.73 percent.
Nifty PSU Bank rose
Among the indices, Nifty PSU Bank was the biggest gainer, rising 5.01 percent. Nifty India Defence gained 4.30 percent, Nifty Metal 3.70 percent, Nifty Auto 3.14 percent, Nifty IT 2.73 percent, Nifty India Manufacturing 2.04 percent, Nifty Commodities 1.32 percent, Nifty Infra 1.01 percent and Nifty FMCG 0.64 percent.
On the other hand, Nifty Media closed with a decline of 3.94 percent, Nifty Realty 1.72 percent, Nifty Financial Services 0.48 percent, Nifty Private Bank 0.47 percent and Nifty Healthcare 0.28 percent.
Experts’ opinion on the market
According to news agency PTI, Ajit Mishra, Senior Vice President (Research) at Religare Broking Limited, said that domestically, investors will be watching the latest data on July’s retail inflation, wholesale inflation, and foreign exchange reserves. Corporate earnings for the April-June 2026 quarter will also gain momentum. Globally, the market will be closely monitoring developments in the crucial Strait of Hormuz, fluctuations in crude oil prices, and geopolitical developments to Iran.
Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money, says that US inflation data for July will also be closely watched. Furthermore, the situation in West Asia and crude oil prices will remain key factors for the Indian market.
