India US Navy EOD Exercise 2026: The eighth edition of a specialized maritime security exercise between the Indian and US navies is set to begin in Kochi on August 10. The two navies will conduct an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) exercise at the Southern Naval Command from August 10 to 14. Expert divers and explosive ordnance disposal teams from both countries will participate in the five-day exercise.

The primary objective of the exercise is to strengthen the joint capabilities and coordination of the two navies in dealing with undersea explosive threats. Technical knowledge and experiences will be shared between experts. Joint training, equipment demonstrations, and practical exercises based on real-life conditions will also take place. The Indian and US Navies have been conducting joint salvage and EOD exercises since 2005.

The practice will begin in Kochi from August 10.
