Why will fans not be able to watch the Duleep Trophy from the stadium?
The Duleep Trophy is a major tournament in domestic cricket. Since last season, this tournament has been played at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence, where fans are unable to watch the matches. Speaking to the media, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia explained the reason behind this, saying, “When the land was acquired here, there were certain restrictions that prevented us from bringing spectators to this campus. This is a government restriction.” We can’t break it.’
Almost all matches of this tournament, which will be played from August 23 to September 10, will be played at the Centre of Excellence. 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi will also be seen playing in this tournament. Ishan Kishan, Mohammed Shami, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajat Patidar, Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Anshul Kamboj, and Prithvi Shaw will also be seen there.

BCCI may change the venue of the final
Fans want to watch the Duleep Trophy 2026 matches. Regarding this, the BCCI stated, “Close contacts of the team members can attend. However, this year we have increased the number of matches broadcast live. This way, we are giving fans the opportunity to see their favorite players and well-performing teams.” We will certainly welcome your suggestions on whether the final can be held in the stadium.
