Gold and Silver: Gold and silver prices are expected to continue their upward trend next week. Experts said the bullion market will be closely monitoring inflation data from major countries and efforts to defuse tensions in West Asia. Experts said investors will be monitoring inflation data from the US, Germany, Japan, and India. In addition, upcoming economic data from China will also be crucial for gold and silver.
Silver prices could reach ₹2.80 lakh in the short term.
Pranav Meer, Senior Vice President, Commodity and Currency Research, JM Financial Services, said the outlook for gold and silver looks positive. It is expected that in the short term, gold may rise to Rs 1.57 lakh per 10 grams and silver to Rs 2.80 lakh per kg.
Gold rose 6 percent and silver by 7 percent on MCX last week.
In the domestic market, gold for October delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rose by ₹8,444, or about 6 percent, to close at Rs 1.51 lakh per 10 grams this week. Additionally, silver futures for September delivery rose by Rs 14,268, or about 7 percent, to close at Rs 2.31 lakh per kg.
The weakening dollar supported fresh buying in gold and silver.
Jatin Trivedi, research analyst at LKP Securities, said, “Gold witnessed a strong rally this week, rising by about 6 percent. Weaker-than-expected US employment data has rekindled hopes of an interest rate cut by the US central bank. He further said that the weakening dollar also encouraged fresh buying in gold and silver, leading gold to record its strongest weekly gain in recent months.
Gold prices reach Rs 1.54 lakh in Delhi bullion market
Gold prices saw a slight increase of Rs 200 in the Delhi bullion market on Friday. However, after this slight increase, the price of 99.9 percent pure gold reached Rs 1,54,000 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market. On the other hand, silver prices remained stable at Rs 2,34,800 per kg.
