Two clubs are understood to be at the front of the queue to sign AS Monaco forward Folarin Balogun (25), according to Nice-Matin.

Although the identities of the two sides have not been disclosed, one of them is reportedly a Premier League club. Balogun, who is under contract with ASM until 2028, now faces a decision on his future, with an exit from Monaco expected in the coming weeks. Once the United States international, who has 31 caps and 12 goals, makes his choice, talks between Monaco and the interested club are set to begin in an attempt to strike an agreement.

The 25-year-old striker came through the academy system at Arsenal before moving to France in August 2022 on loan to Stade de Reims. That spell proved highly productive, as he scored 22 goals in 39 matches, and it was enough to persuade Monaco’s hierarchy to bring him to the south of France the following summer.

Since then, Balogun has gone on to make 91 appearances for the Principality club and has established himself as an important player in Ligue 1. Last season, the New York City-born attacker played 43 times and registered 19 goals along with four assists in all competitions.
