Bayern Munich are poised to retain star striker Harry Kane for the long term.

That is according to a report by Times Sport on Sunday, which states that the England captain is "expected" to put pen to paper on a new deal with the German giants running until 2029.

Kane is currently in the final year of his contract after leaving Tottenham and the Premier League to join the Bundesliga. Since making that move, he has settled in superbly at Bayern, winning two German league titles, the DFB-Pokal and the German Super Cup.

As per the report, the club and the player are "set to hold talks this week" once Kane returns from his vacation and links up again with his team-mates.

The additional two-year extension with the club would mean the 33-year-old can target even more remarkable goalscoring milestones.

Kane has scored 146 goals for the club since arriving from Spurs in 2023. He will no doubt aim to get the new season up and running with another goal when Bayern take on Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup on August 22.
