New Delhi, August 10: England's white-ball captain Harry Brook, West Indies seam-bowling all-rounder Justin Greaves, and Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan have been nominated for the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for July 2026.
Harry Brook played a crucial role in leading England to victory in the white-ball series against India, showcasing exceptional performance in the shortest format of international cricket. The right-handed batsman scored a remarkable 229 runs at an average of 114.50 in the five-match T20 series, earning him the title of Player of the Series.
On the other hand, all-rounder Justin Greaves excelled with both bat and ball in Test cricket during July. The 32-year-old scored 180 runs in the first Test in North Sound, Antigua. His innings helped the West Indies secure a draw in the match and ultimately win the series 1-0.
Greaves also played a pivotal role in the Pakistan in Taroba, where he took 5 wickets for just 27 runs in the first innings and followed it up with 2 wickets for 12 runs in the second innings, ensuring victory for the West Indies. He concluded the month with 215 runs at an average of 71.66 and claimed 8 wickets at an average of 10.25 across two Test matches, in addition to playing two ODIs.
Bangladeshi opener Tanzid Hasan emerged as the standout batsman for Bangladesh during their white-ball tour of Zimbabwe, finishing as the top run-scorer in both the ODI and T20 series. The left-handed batsman scored 159 runs in three ODIs at an average of 53 and a strike rate of 89.83, followed by 140 runs in the T20 series at an average of 70.
