Following the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has accelerated efforts to further strengthen the temple’s administrative management. In this regard, the process for appointing the Trust’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is progressing. According to reports, over 5,300 applications have been received from across the country for this position, of which 18 candidates have been selected for interviews.

According to sources within the temple management, interviews for the shortlisted candidates will be held on the temple premises. Candidates with administrative and management experience are expected to receive priority for this position.

The interview of the candidates will be conducted for two days.

The 18 shortlisted candidates for the CEO position are expected to be interviewed by a special panel on Tuesday and Wednesday. This panel includes former judge Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi, and scientist Suresh Haware, former chairman of the Shirdi Sai Baba Trust.

After the interview, the candidates’ administrative experience, management skills and ability to handle responsibilities will be assessed.

The CEO will be responsible for the important management of the temple.

The position of CEO of the Ram Temple is considered extremely important. The CEO will oversee the day-to-day administration of the temple, the work of its staff and officials, and various management- arrangements.

Following the alleged misappropriation of donations, the temple’s donations and financial transparency are also being emphasized. The new CEO will be expected to ensure administrative efficiency, accountability, and better oversight.

Special conditions have been fixed for the candidates

According to sources, the age limit for the CEO position is between 50 and 70 years old. Furthermore, candidates are required to adhere to the Hindu religion and its traditions.

Candidates must adhere to the temple’s religious traditions and prescribed guidelines. Eligibility criteria include being a strict vegetarian and abstaining from alcohol and drugs.

Administrative needs increased after the manipulation of offerings

After the alleged misappropriation of temple offerings came to light, the Uttar Pradesh government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter on June 13. Following the preliminary report, an FIR was registered, and the police arrested eight accused.

Among the arrested accused, the names of Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ram Shankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava and Ram Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav have come to light.

Cash and valuables recovered during the investigation

During the investigation, police reported seizing cash, gold, silver, and foreign currency from the accused. It was reported that over 2 million rupees in cash was recovered from one of the accused.

Amid the investigation into the matter, the trust has expedited the process of appointing a CEO to further streamline the administrative structure of the temple.

Out of 5,300 applications, 18 have now been decided.

After shortlisting over 5,300 applications for the CEO position, 18 candidates have been selected for interviews. All eyes are now on which of these candidates will be entrusted with the crucial responsibility of administering the Ram Temple.

The new appointment is considered significant for the temple’s management, transparency in the donation system, and administrative accountability. In the coming days, once the selection process is complete, it will become clear who will become the new CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Acharya Indradev will handle the religious rituals

Appointments have also been made for religious rituals at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. Acharya Indradev Mishra has been selected to officiate at all the temple’s religious ceremonies. His appointment letter has also been released. Narpat Dukiya will serve as Acharya Indradev Mishra’s assistant.
