One of Tottenham Hotspur's World Cup stars has reportedly been offered to their Premier League rivals.

According to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, Tottenham Hotspur full-back Djed Spence has been offered to both Liverpool and Manchester United.

The defender is understood to want assured first-team football after an impressive campaign with England at the 2026 World Cup, with uncertainty remaining over whether he features in Roberto De Zerbi's plans for this season.

Spurs are reportedly willing to approve an exit for the 25-year-old as De Zerbi continues trying to generate transfer funds for a rebuild in North London.

Tottenham are said to value the right-back at £35 million (€40m), despite the fact that he signed a new long-term contract only 12 months ago.

In spite of his strong international performances, Spence faces serious competition at club level and is believed to be behind World Cup winner Pedro Porro in De Zerbi's defensive order.

It is also being reported that Spence's representatives have made contact with leading Premier League clubs to assess possible destinations.

Manchester United and Liverpool are the two clubs mentioned in the initial report as being linked with Spence, although neither side has made a formal move so far.

Manchester United currently appear well covered in the full-back positions, with Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui available on the right side, though both could realistically be displaced by Spence.

Liverpool, meanwhile, do have a gap to address at right-back, with Conor Bradley still out injured. Joe Gomez is also currently sidelined, while makeshift options Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai do not appear entirely natural fits for the role.

Italian giants Inter Milan have likewise shown interest in Spence as a possible right wing-back option, although discussions are still at an early stage because of a difference between the Serie A club's valuation and Tottenham's asking price.
